- THE ESTATE -

In 1984, Anne-Lise and Pierre took over a portion of the family land located at the foot of the slopes, a few kilometers northeast of Saint-Émilion, in the commune of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes. They named the estate Moulin de Lagnet.

Olivier, the eldest of three children, joined Anne-Lise and Pierre in 2007. I, in turn, joined them in 2017, the same year that Jean, Olivier's great-uncle, entrusted us with his estate, Château Sarpe Grand Jacques. Moulin de Lagnet then continued its journey.

Here, the clay-silt soils at the foot of the slopes give rise to round and fruity wines.

Anne-Lise and Pierre have always worked the soils without using chemical herbicides. As if it were obvious, this path led them to organic farming as early as 2001.

For us, it could not be any other way. The desire to go "beyond" still drives and guides us through the vintages. We want to make wines that reflect and respect the place where they were born, as well as the people who contributed to them. United by the same convictions, we move forward together: grapes brought to maturity as a team, harvested by hand, and vinified solely with indigenous yeasts.

The gestures, words, actions, and music nourish each vintage. No need for artifice. Nature, if left undisturbed, provides the essential.
